16 days to exam...

Exams is just around the corner.16 more days left is going to be End of Year Exam.It is an important exam for sec two which is streaming as it determines where we stand.I am very scared from this moment onwards.

Now, I have not start in my revision as can say that I did not even touch any of the books.Uponing hearing that it was just 16 days left to exam, I was shocked.I did not even how to start on my revision as there are so many subjects.

Without wasting any minute and second from now on, I will try double hard to continue to strive for the best.I will not give up even if ther e are difficulties.In my mind, there is always a phrase ''keep on perserver'' remember in my heart.

I was very fear that something unlucky will happen to me.As now for my wish, I hope to do well in my acdemic. I do not want to disappoint my parents. I also knew that they have a lot of hope on me and I do not want to hurt them. For my parents, I am willing to do the best I can for them to make them happy staying in this world.

THREE INJURED IN SHOPHOUSE BLAZE

An early morning fire injured three people as it gutted a shophouse at Tampines Lane yesterday and left at least 10 people homeless.

The three people injured were Mr Muthu Maran who was a veteran fireman,Mr Quek Seow Meng who was avegetable seller and Mr Chee Seng Toh who was a polytechnic student. Mr Muthu had burns on his sholders and also sustained minorbruises to his legs was rushed to Changi Hospital. Mr Quek was slightly burnt on both hands,treated as an outpatient to be sent home. Mr Chee suffered a broken ankle was also treated as an outpatient to be sent home.

The fire started at about 5.30pm.Mr Ivan Wong was a resident of one of the shophouses who was sleeping heard shouts of fire. He said,''Iwas awakened by shouts of help. I saw the plank walls going up in flanes. I quickly tookmy blanket and started to put out the flames. There was heat and thick smoke everywhere as I managed to run out the building tocall for help." Mr Ivan Wong escaped unscathed the fire .

Three families living on the top floor were also awakened fromtheir sleep to rush out of the burning building. Mr Quek's hands were burnt as hebattled with the flames with his blanket on his way down thewooden stairs which had caught fire. Mr Chee ran down the stairs fell and broke his ankle. ''We had no time to salavage our belongings. By the timethe fireengine arrived, the whole buildingwas engulfed in flames,'' Mr Wong said.

The firemen were directing their hoses at the building which Mr Muthu entered it and went up to the top floor. The floor under him was charred and suddenly it collesped. He plunged 10 meters to the ground. One of his colleagues immediately pulled him to safety. The firemen brought the fir under control an hour later. The cause of the fire s not known. The police are investigating.

my favourite reading material

My favourite reading material is magazines. I love magazines because it makes me have a sense of joy when reading. I enjoy every moment when reading. There are a lot of interesting things such as jokes and riddles. Reading magazines is also my hobby. It can make me relax by forgetting all worries. When reading magazines, it makes me totally engrossed in it.

I read magazines almost everyday. Magazines helped me improve my english. English is very important as we uses them almost on our everyday life. I read magazines like teens, 8 days and many more. Although magazines do not have as much things to learn as storybooks, I still prefer magazines. Eventhough buying magazines may cost me some of my savings, I do not mind. As long as it interest me, I will not care about the price of the thing.

My friends like to read magazines more than me. They are like bookworm of magazines. I started to read magazines as my friends had influenced me. Sometimes, we would go to each other's house to read magazines together. We would eat some snacks while reading the magazines. We discuss about the topics in the magazines that we like.

Do not hesitate to be like me who wants to do what I like to do. Just do what you like!

I am Yet Wah. I study in chong boon secondary school respect 1. It's been nice to study there! I enjoyed studying in school as I can make a lot of friend. Knowing new friends is a pleasure of mine. As in school, I mixed well with my schoolmates and classmates.
Some of my friends like giving me nicknames. Some of the nicknames were nice but some were not. One of the nicknames they give me is wild flower, which I hate a lot.
I enjoyed all the moment being with my friends, it makes me full with fond memories.

About my academic, I will work double hard than last time to strive for best results. I always tell myself to persevere but not give up. Persevere is the spirit that I always tell myself to have. "Yet Wah! You must persevere!" is in my mind whenever I have difficulties. The phrase will phrase will popped out automatically. Sometime, it surprise my too.

I am a girl who is happy go lucky. I don't like to stress myself with worries as there is a phrase of '' don't worry be happy''. You must always think of the phase and you will be happy. I like to chat on phone with friends and like others girls, shopping. Shopping is kind of relaxing to me. I find window shopping and buying things you like is very fun. I also like listen to music.

Don't you think life is wonderful, but only if you think carefully for yourself. It is my fortunate to stay in this world happily. hope that everyone will like me
